This is how I have been finding Clay after he
goes down for his naps. He must be really
relaxed!

Broden is getting so big! I can't believe
that he is already 3 months old!

Got Milk?? Need I say more?

My parents live down the street from Shane's
grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. So every
week we would go visit. Here are a couple of
pictures of our last visit.

Grandpa, Clay and cousin Anson having fun!

This is my Uncle Nord. Clay always goes
and begs rides off of him.

Another pic. Look at that grin, you can tell that
he just loves it!

Clay and I on Penny. He was so funny. He kept
saying giddyup and kicking her. He thought it
was great and probably would of stayed on her all
night if I would have let him!

We have had a great summer and have enjoyed
being here with my family.

Best pals! Clay really enjoys having a brother and is always
willing to give hugs and kisses. Broden really likes to watch
Clay and even smiles once in awhile.

Uncle Jaden caught a big fish! Clay thought it was pretty
cool.

Broden has turned into quite the talker. He is alway cooing
and smiling. It is such a fun age. I will be glad when Shane
gets home and can get in on some of it.

We got to ride Penny. Clay thought he was the
big cheese!

Look at those cheeks! Broden is getting so
chubby. I love it!

Our little piano player. Although, you can see
the way he plays is not the traditional way!

Best buds! Clay and Jaden have had a lot of fun
this summer. I know Clay will miss him when
we go back to Logan.

Katy and Clay had a great time together. She
so great with kids!

Special Visitor

This week has been lots of fun! The Lincoln county fair has been going on. I entered some baked goods and won $24! Not to bad! It was fun and a pretty easy way to make some spending money. Clay got to have a boys night out with his uncles. They went to the demolition derby at the fair. For those of you who have never been to one, it is where they drive old beat-up cars and crash into each other. The last car still running wins. Anyway Clay loved it of course. He loves anything with wheels.
My old roommate Katy, came this weekend. It so fun to hang out with her and my kids just love her. We didn't do much more than hang out and stay up late. Pretty much the same thing we did in college but I loved it!! It is funny how you can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely. So it was really great to see her. She made me feel like I can make it the rest of the time. Shane has 2 weeks left and I think he is really ready to come home. I have one more week here and then I will head back to Logan and be there for a few days before I go and pick him up. I am extremely excited! 14 Days left!!!!

The real decent stage in assembly.

MSL high bay with aeroshell and decent stage
(these are just engineering models) but the cruise
stage is the real thing.

Shane is staying in the dorms on the campus of Cal-Tech.
This is a picture right outside the dorms. It is a really pretty
campus.

Shane's one room home away from home.

Shane in front of Jet Propulsion Lab sign. He takes the
bus from Cal-Tech to JPL every morning and back again
in the evening.

This is one of the top guidance navigation and control
engineers that Shane has had the chance to work with.
He has really enjoyed working with everyone at JPL.

Crazy Week!

We left last Tuesday to go back to Logan. The kids traveled really well. We got home and got some things done around the house. Wednesday at 11:00 we had Broden's 2 month check-up. So while he was sleeping that morning, Clay and I mowed the lawn. I had just finished and turned off the mower when I heard Broden crying. I went in and got him and came back outside. Clay was riding his trike around. So I stepped inside to put Broden on the bed so I could put the mower away. All of the sudden Clay started screaming. I ran outside and he ran to me holding his hand. His hand was one big blister! He had touched the hot engine of the mower. Luckily we had Broden's doctors appointment, so the doctor could look at Clay's hand. He told me just to keep a cool washcloth on it until the blisters broke. Then he gave me some cream to put on it 2-3 times a day. He said he shouldn't have any scars. So from Wednesday to Saturday Clay carried around a washcloth. We put the cream on and wrapped it Saturday night. It is doing so much better now. I don't know about any of you but I have never felt worse as a mother, and I was only inside for 3 seconds! Wednesday afternoon we went to Brigham and stay the night with Shane's parents. Thursday morning I left Clay with Grandma and Shane's sister Heather, Broden and I went to pick Shane up at the airport. It was so good to see him!!!! We hung out in Logan until Friday night and then decided we should go to the Robinson reunion in Star Valley so we packed up once again and headed out. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed every minute of being with him, but Sunday came to soon. We left for Salt Lake right after church. He flew out that night. I went with my mom and brother to my Grandma Best's in Sandy where we stayed until Wednesday. My cousins had flown in from Ohio and it was to see them. We had a BBQ and Clay even got to go ice blocking. He had a blast! Needless to say it had been a long, crazy week and now we are getting ready for the fair. I wanted to enter some baking to see if I could earn a little spending money, so that should keep me busy. Shane will be home on the 23rd, so only 3 more weeks and we can get back to our normal lives.
