Visitors

My sisters came to visit this weekend. It has been fun. We didn't get to do to much because of the rain but we did get a little shopping in which is always fun. Clay had lots of fun with his aunts and was never bored. We also wanted to invite everyone to Broden's baby blessing this sunday. It is kind of last minute but we decided to bless him before Shane leaves for California instead of after. It is at 9:30 and our church is on the corner of 5th east and 8th north. We are going to be having lunch after the block in the pavilion in to the east of the church. We would love to see everyone there!

Daddy's little helper

Yesterday it finally was a little warmer in the afternoon so Shane decided to mow the lawn. Of course Clay thinks that it is his job as well. So Clay got out his lawn mower and went around and around. Shane loves it when Clay wants to help him and Clay loves helping him. I think it is great!

Rainy Day

It has been raining all night and this morning. We just gave Broden a sponge bath. Clay was a HUGE help as usual. He was all about giving him hugs. I decided to put a hat on him since it was a little bit cooler. Who knows when I will be able to put another one on him. We take him to the doctor this afternoon to check his weight and bilirubin.

Coming Home

Its good to be home. The hospital room got awfully small after awhile. We were released at 11:00 on Sunday. We had to stay an extra day because I had the group B strep so they had to monitor us for 48 hours. It was nice to be waited on but it is even nicer to be home. We finally decided on a name. It wasn't even on our list until Saturday. We decided to name him Broden Brandt Robinson. He has been an excellent baby. He is a great nurser and sleeps well. Clay was a terrible nurser and sleeper so we are really grateful. My mom is here for a few days and has kept Clay occupied. She has been a great help and they have had a lot of fun. Thanks for all of your visits and congratulations!

He's Here!!!

Today turned out to be a little different than expected. I went in for my weekly check-up this morning only to be told that I would not be going home. The baby hadn't been moving very much this last week. It had us and the doctor worried. She decided that now was as good of a time as any especially since she would be leaving for vacation tomorrow. So they induced me at 11:00 a.m. and he was born 3:51 p.m. He is 6 lbs and 5 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. He also has quite a bit of dark hair. Clay and Grandma Robinson came to visit us tonight. Clay really enjoyed new baby brother. He was very good at pointing out his eyes, nose, hair etc. He is going to sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa Robinson's and will have the time of his life. As of names, well we thought we had 2 more weeks to mull it over so we are trying to decide a little quicker.

I don't know if bigger is always better but I am definitely getting bigger. I thought I would just put
some pictures on to prove it. I went to the doctor today and am dilated to a 3 which is wonderful
news. Hopefully I will be able to have this baby before my doctor leaves for a week. I am crossing my
fingers. In any case, just a little while longer..... and Clay will have his little brother here! I am starting
to get a little nervous though... we are still debating names.
Maybe we will just have to wait and see what he looks like.

Well we made our first "emergency" trip to the doctor last night. Clay was playing on the ottoman, slipped and fell hitting the edge of the table. He got cut right above his right eye in his eyebrow. It is only about a 1/4 inch long but it was pretty deep so we decided we better take him in and see if he needed stitches. Clay had a great time. They gave him a sucker, otterpop and stickers so he thought it was great fun. He didn't cry even when they were washing it out. They decided since it was a really straight cut it would be better to use some stuff like super glue. So now his eyebrow is glued together but it doesn't seem to bother him much. It bled pretty good and it was a good thing that Shane was here to keep me calm.
